All surface water stations were inspected and recorded weekly as per
the permit terms and conditions. Inspection dates were 2/07, 2/14, 2/19, and 2/28 as
represented by the attached field log report copies. These inspections and recordings
identified readings at RS-1 as frozen, RS-2 as either frozen or zero (0), RS-3 and RS-5 as
zero (0) inches, and RS-4 and RS-6 as dry. The monthly precipitation accumulation for
Februazy was 0.66 inches, with the largest accumulation (i.e., 0.17") occurring on
Februazy 19`h
Vacuum on the tailing lysimeters was verified on February 25`h, no water was present for
sampling and subsequent analysis as represented on the attached field log report copies.
Depths to water were collected for the tailing impoundment main embankment and West
Pit piezometers/monitoring wells on February 28th as represented on the attached field
log report copies. The February 28`h tailing impoundment piezometer measurements
identified these installations were either dry or contained less than 12 inches of water as
illustrated in Table 2. Tables 1 and 2 below identify the depth to water measurements
collected for each of the site monitoring wells, piezometers and lysimeters.
The tailing impoundment collection pond underdrain flow was pumped intermittently
during the month to minimize the collection pond level. The leak detection system was
measured on February 27`s. The February collection pond underdrain flow average was
47.47 gpm and a total of 380 gallons of water was excavated from the leak detection
P.O.
