As stated in the letter of transmittal, location of <br />operating areas are approximate, with appreciable overlap, as <br />explained. <br />(1) Location and number of acres affected during the year. <br />Past operating areas are all within previously bonded <br />acres and are outlined in black as follows: <br />Overburden Dis osal--Overburden disposal from Cut 1 was <br />eposite on top o about 50 acres of a pre-law disposal <br />area. <br />Cut 1--was completed only to the point indicated on the <br />map which, with topsoil storage comprises 26 acres. <br />Cut 2-- overburden is about 2/3 removed and limestone <br />removal started. Designated Cut 2, adjacent overburden <br />storage and topsoil storage comprises about 36 acres. <br />(2) Locations and number of acres reclaimed for that year. <br />As anticipated in the permit application, the first <br />possible reclamation will involve the 50+ acres of overburden <br />deposit located under (1) above. Dozer work has been started <br />to random grade the surface. Current plans are to complete <br />the random grading of this area in order to reduce bond from <br />"major" to "moderate" by October 1980. The local Soil Conservation <br />Service, in cooperation with Portland plant personnel have seeded <br />a one-acre test plot within this 50-acre area and noted on the map. <br />(3) The location and number of acres in the various stages <br />of reclamation (backtiiled, raded to soil re laced, <br />revegetate <br />See Item (2) above. <br />(4) The species of vegetation planted, the locations <br />Not applicable at this time. <br />
