Each is <br />mined by a different operator using this single permit. This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary <br />Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this year. The approved bond amount is $84,200 <br />covering 75.74 acres t, and the facility has seven mining and reclamation phases. Please refer to the <br />attached 2004 Annual Report Map for the azeas discussed in this text. <br />We will deal specifically with the Annual Report requirements as outlined in Rule 1.15 of the <br />Rules and Regulations and those noted in the annual letter. <br />(1) Clay - No new azea was disturbed by the clay mining operation this yeaz. We continued to <br />mine deeper on Ute land previously disturbed (blue) north of Ute ditches in Stage II. Approxi- <br />mately 23.21 acres is disturbed by the clay operation in Stages O, I and II. This included the <br />old clay mined azea south of the ditches, the Clay Plant Site (purple) and the storage azea <br />(tan). <br />Gravel - A total of 12.75 acres has been stripped is Stage A to prepaze it for mining <br />(orange). Mining is taking place in the southeast quadrant of Stage A mazked with the <br />following hatching symbol (//n, it cover 1.521 ac. t. The gravel operation has disturbed <br />23.03 acres t in the mine. Mining continued deeper into the deposit and expanded to Ute <br />eastern permit boundary. Some waste rock was removed for use by the mineral owners from <br />the southwest prelaw stockpile azea. <br />(2) No reclamation was required this yeaz. Filling continued on the old clay mining azea in the <br />green azeas shown in Stage O. No additional reclamation is required until mining for both <br />materials is completed in any given stage. Par ired sight berm was installed with <br />revegetation material along Ute south side of Stages A & D. This is required by the county <br />permit. <br />
