Page 2 <br />Permit No: M-79-045 <br />Operation Name: Church Pit <br />Anniversary Date: 02/28/2004 <br />(3) Clay -Mining will continue in Stage I or Stage II, no new azea will be disturbed this yeaz <br />because we aze mining in the azea stripped in previous yeazs. We will continue to deepen the <br />bottom of the mine into the clay veins exposed in the past and advance the face to the north as <br />approved is the reclamation plan. Processing will continue in the Clay Plant Site Area in <br />Stage 0 (purple). The clay storage on the east side of Stage R continues (tan). It is blended <br />with the clay from this mine at our brick plant in Lakewood. <br />Gravel -Mining will wntinue in Stage A and will progress to the east and north. Processing <br />will be done in the azea east of the old Clay pit. As Ute perimeter of the mine is reached <br />sloping will begin as approved in the approved plan. The Rocky Flats Pit immediately east of <br />this azea was permitted this yeaz and the gravel operator will begin to mine thru the east side <br />of the Church Pit into the Rocky Flats Pit as approved in the permit. No sloping will be <br />required along the line sepazating the mines. Growth medium will be stockpiled along the <br />mine perimeter for use in reclamation. <br />(4) No reclamation is called for during the next yeaz. However, backfilling will wntinue on the <br />slopes in the old clay pit. The waste material from gravel processing will be used to slope the <br />south mine slope from the original level to the pit floor We will continue to fdl the north <br />slope of the old clay pit and begin to do sloping on the east side, if the gravel operator <br />removes the overburden pile next to the face on that side. If the opportunity to sell rock from <br />the southwest overburden pile occurs, that removal will continue as well. <br />(5) CURRENT CONTACT <br />Thomas J.
