Cottony <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology (Division) has completed a review of the Annual <br />Hydrology Monitoring Report, Edna Mine, CDMG Permit No. C-001-80. Please respond to the <br />adequacy items identified below. <br />Item 1. Please include the irrigation ditch flow observations in the report [Permit Application <br />Package (PAP) page 4.6-139, line 18]. <br />Item 2. The annual hydrologic report (AHR) is to be submitted by February 20. It (2004 Annual <br />Hydrology Monitoring Report) was received at the Division of Minerals and Geology on <br />February 25, 2005 (PAP page 4.6-139, line 21). <br />Item 3. Please include monitoring results of channel cross-sections for TRa and TRb in the report <br />(PAP page 4.6-140, line 22). <br />Item 4. Please include April monitoring values for TR-1.5, TR-3, and TR-4 (PAP page 4.6-142, <br />line 19 and Table 4.6-54, page 4.6-144) in the report. Monitoring information for April appeazs <br />no to have been reported since 1996. <br />Item 5. Please include NPDES monitoring results in the report (PAP page 4.6-142, line 19). As <br />these reports aze provided to the Division under separate cover, this requirement could be met by <br />a statement in the Annual Hydrologic Report such as follows: <br />"Monitoring of point discharges from sedimentation impoundments is accomplished under <br />Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Colorado Permit Discharge System <br />Permit CO-0032638. Copies of required Discharge Monitoring Reports are provided to the <br />ice of Office of Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey <br />
