Dept. of Natural Resources Re Annual Report - MLR File N 77-12 Nhitewater Building l4aterials orporation {Yhitewater Pit 500, Mesa County Mining and reclamation are proceeding approximately on schedule in accordance with the mining and reclamation plans and timetables included in the original application. It is anticipated that an amendment to this permit will be filed by October 10, 1981. Reference is made to P4LRB Rules and Regulations, amended April 1, 1981, Section 2.40: 2.41(i)(a) Mining continued on the remaining 4.23 acres in Stage I. Mining was not complete in this area at the end of the reporting year. See yellow area on the attached map. (b) Stripping is underway in Stage II. Approximately 8.271 acres are affected by stripping, including about 1.481 acres which accommodates a pit haul road. (c) A4ining is complete in Stage A on the terrace gravels and has reached the approximate midpoint east-west in Stage B. No new land is affected in Stage A, and approximately 1.63f acres is affected in Stage B. The quality of the material in Stage B is deteriorating to the west. (2)(a) This year grading and sloping has been completed on approximately 0.921 acres in the area mined some years ago (before the law). See the brown area, northeast side, Stage II. (b) This year grading and sloping has been completed on approximately 2.81f acres mined in Stage A. (3) Same as (2) above.
