Permit
No. M-1983-033, Annual Report
FEDERAL TAX ID#
Our files indicate that the anniversary date for this permit is
June 23. This pit sns war been granted a Temporary Cessation and it wus
op_ra±ed mfrs than 189 days this year. The Financial Warranty for
this operation was reviewed in 2002 and is $741,500, the permitted
area is 292.07 ac. t and the pit is divided into 6 Reclamation Phases.
A sign that conforms with rule 3.1.12 Sxoxs]um Ma~sus is at the entrance
to the quarry on the scale house. Please refer to the Annual Report
Map for the location of areas discussed in this report. This is a
quarry operation, as a result we remove large amounts of material
without disturbing large areas of land.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report require-
ments as outlined in Rule 1.15 of the Rules and Regulations, and the
annual notice letter.
(1) Total disturbance to date in Stage I is 69.44 acres t. We mined
deeper along the face this year lowering benches. As the face
moved east more floor area was created. The current face area
has NOT changed this year it covers approximately 20.35 acres t
(brown). Mining continued on the area previously stripped in
Phase Z, this includes the floor area (green), and the working
face (brown). We have continued to retain fill in the secondary
access corridor as approved in the plan and a second topsoil
storage pile was established north of the mined area that covers
4.12 acres t (yellow). The vegetation was removed on 17.32 acres
t shown as stripped in preparation for mining (purple).
(2) No reclamation was required this year. As approved in the mining
plan only the mine benches will need resoilinq. Stage X was
cleaned and graded as required in the permit and Stage Z is
permitted in the county for commercial uses. The table below
outlines the various stages o ce at the mine.
~~o y
