During our approximately eight
full months of full operation in 1982, our average production
was 22,654 tons per day on a five-day schedule. Total
production for 1982 was approximately 3.9 million tons. Our
average total work force for the first nine months of 1982
was 1,246 people.
From about October 1, 1982 to present, approximately 300
full time employees have been maintaining a reduced level of
operation. The Grade B molybdenum concentration circuit
continues producing at the rate of 600,000 to 700,000 pounds
per month to supply that product demand. Daily maintenance
is required on many critical systems at both the mine and
mill.
Reclamation proceeded as described in the timetable
(Section 5) and the reclamation plan (Section 9). Species
planted during 1982 were those originally listed in the
reclamation plan and appropriate additions mentioned in
previous annual reports. Plant materials used in the
reclamation effort this year were 1,870 shrubs, 5,800 tree
seedlings, about 100 tree transplants, and 525 pounds of
grass seed. Precipitation was above average throughout the
growing season and revegetated areas responded accordingly.
i~2 /5
