Final Reclamation of the
mine related disturbances was initiated in 1996. All areas except the Apache Canyon and Northwest Bleed
Fan Sites have received Phase II bond release.
The major reclamation activity in 2004 was completion of the abandonment of the Northwest Airshaft.
The shaft was backfilled and grouted with cement though the identified water bearing zones. A full
description of this activity was included in a Phase 1 bond release request for [his facility and is
incorporated by reference into this annual reclamation report.
Other activities included monitoring and maintenance of final reclamation areas and limited hand spraying
to control Canadian Thistle, primarily within the "Pond 3" and "Pond 4" reclamation areas.
Hydrologic monitoring was completed in accordance with the approved plan during 2004.
Please call me if you have any questions or require additional information
SincerelyJ,~ ~/~ ~~~
Ronald G.
