iii iiiiiiiiiiiu iii
999
November 18, 1977
Cotter Corporation
P.O. Box 700
Nucla, Colorado 81424
P.E: Adequacy Review. LP-21 Mina. Our file 077-305.
Dear Mr. Hugus:
I have listed below several points in your recent permit application which
need clarification or additional information prior to presentation before
the Board. These points do not include questions which may arise ae a
result of my initial inspection.
1) Application Fee:
a) The application fee was incorrectly computed. The correct fee is
$200. The additional S1.50 should be forwarded to this office.
2) Legal Description:
a) The legal description should include the principal meridian.
3) Maps:
a) The maps submitted as Exhibit C should clearly show the affected area.
b) The vegetation map should show the approximate boundaries of the
different vegetation types in the area.
4) Nine Plan:
a) Your mine plan and map both mention a topsoil stockpile, however, the
source of this topsoil and thn depth to which it was removed was not
discussed.
b) Any water encountered in the mine that is reused for drilling will
require an adjudication of water vrights. I have enclosed a copy
of the water resources memo for your informatioa.
c) You are advised to be certain that you have allowed an adequate "bulfer"
cone between the permit boundary and the limit of preeant operations in
order to avoid future permit boundary problems.
