Page 2
d) The anticipated height, elope angle and general design of the
waste dump should be included in the mine plan.
S) Reclamation Plen: The reclamation plan should be more specific explaining
exactly what type of reclamation ie proposed for each area of disturbance
(i.e. ventholes, was t® dump, roads, etc.)
a) When you refer to stipulations in the E.R.D.A. lease such as sealing
portals, etc., you should elaborate as we have no way of knowing
what those stipulations are.
b) I'm not clear what you mean by "slopes will not exceed the natural
angle of repose of the waste dump."
c) You should give the anticipated minimum depth of topsoil or a range
of depths. Additionally, you should specify which areas of the
effected land will be popaoiled.
d) The seeding mixture ie inadequate as presently stated. The overall
application rate is too light, and the rate of Yellow Sweetclover
is too heavy.
e) You should be advised that any changes in the vegetation details must
be approved by the Zoard through a technical revision.
f) I would advise a temporary cover species be planted on the topsoil
stockpile especially since reclamation is 15-20 years away.
g) If roads are to be left at the request of the landowner, wo need a
written statement to that effect.
6) Reclamation Plan Ttap:
a) The map should portray the final land use of each of the parcels of
affected land.
7) Extiihit P:
a) Please clarifq why you feel this ie not applicable or supply the
required list.
Please supply the above information as soon as possible. If you have any
questions regarding this matter, give me a call. Thank you for your continuing
cooperation.
Sincerely,
Dean R. Tfassey
Heclamation Specialist
DRM:pae
Eacl: as stated
