I based the figures on
measurements and observation I made onsite, discussions with you
about the overall reclamation, plus the approved plan in the file.
The total for the reclamation of the entire site is $6,572.00. The
existing financial warranty is a $5,000.00 letter of credit from
your bank.
If there has been no work done toward the final reclamation,
compared to the amount I used in this estimate, you will be
required to provide the difference. Obviously, the more work
performed toward final reclamation, the lower the bond will be.
Some portion of what I have included here as work to be performed
may already be done or soon will be. Please let me know, in
sufficient detail, what reclamation has occurred on your 8.3-acre
permit area or what is planned to be performed soon.
b~ The packet consists of a four-page summary of the separate tasks,
~oTl~ed~a one- or two-page breakdown of each task. Remember, this
is an estimate of what it might cost the state to contract the work
to be done by another party. I used a D6H dozer and 936 loader for
earthwork, a farm tractor with seed drill for the seeding, and
mobilized them from Rocky Ford.
Please review this and if you want to discuss any of the numbers in
the packet, please contact me. Again, it is important to let me
know of any work already done, since that influences the bond.
Sincerely, ;1
~~~ 0~ n
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
enclosure: Reclamation cost estimate
(b:\cor0696.rco/p14)
