Cottony <br />Arvada, CO 80004 Division Direcor <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />RE: Mountain Mining Claim, Additional Adequacy Comments, File No. M-2004-008 <br />110(2) Hard Rock/Metal Mining Reclamation Permit Application <br />Dear Mr. Harden: <br />Listed below are remaining adequacy review comments on your application for a Limited Impact <br />110(2) Hard Rock/Metal Mining Reclamation Permit Application. As previously mentioned, the <br />decision date for your application is scheduled for July 26, 2004. Therefore, we would <br />appreciate a response from you on or before July 26, 2004. Please be advised that your <br />application maybe deemed inadequate and maybe denied on July 26, 2004 unless the following <br />adequacy review items are addressed to the satisfaction of the Division. (Please be sure to <br />include two (2) copies of your response). <br />6.3.3 EXHIBIT C -Mining Plan <br />9. In conformance with Rule 6.4.20 the Division has requested that you provide an <br />"Environmental Protection Plan" to control the generation and release of acid or toxic substances <br />from the mine azea and waste rock disposal areas. Please provide a definite commitment to <br />install an upland diversion ditch, and a protective clay cap during final reclamation. Please <br />provide cross sectional designs of the upland diversion ditch to be installed for diverting runoff, <br />and the clay cap to be installed during final reclamation for minimizing infiltration of surface <br />water into the backfilled excavation. Also, please provide details on the lift thickness of clay <br />material to be applied to construct a clay cap, the volume of clay material needed to construct the <br />cap, the source of clay material to construct the clay cap, and the level of compaction to be <br />achieved. <br />6.3.4 EXHIBIT D -Reclamation Plan <br />10. Please provide a revised reclamation cost to include the cost for installation of the upland <br />Office of Office of Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey <br />
