The county road cuts off the northwest corner leaving
approximatly 30 acres of the permit area.
The adjoining land owners are The Bureau of Land Management,
Saguache County and Gary Boyce.
The revised pre-mining and mining plan map enclosed, shows the
location of each land owner.
The only significant structures are barbwire fences with gates
and one cattle guard.
The cattle guard belongs to Gary Boyce and is located on the
northwest corner of the permit area and the Saguache County
gravel pit.
After speaking with Mr. Boyce, we were in agreement to move the
cattle guard up the road to the northeast corner next to his
gravel pit fence. This would eliminate any haul trucks from
having to cross it while going to any of the three pits. I also
spoke with Royce Wheeler, with the BLM Range Division in Alamosa,
he is also in agreement with moving the cattle guard, as it
divides BLM land and Mr. Boyces' private land.
The fence surrounding the permit area belongs to the BLM and is
thier resposibility to remove it at thier discretion.
The areas on the map showing the location of topsoil and subsoil
stockpiles are approximate and may vary in size.
They will be seeded with the same full seed mix that will be used
for reclamation.
These stockpiles will be relatively close to the disturbed area
to minimize cost during reclamation.
Qr.
.`
The demand for gravel from the local community will determine the
