Mining Plan Colo. Dept. of Natural Resources <br />A. Are you mining noci? <br />The property is still being mined. As provided in 103(6) 1.6, <br />1.62, notice is hereby given that the affected lands are to be <br />used for less than one hundred eighty (180) days per year. <br />B. What is the depth of the pit? <br />The excavated portion of the pit is now 12 to 15 feet deep. <br />C. How many acres are mined each year? <br />Approximately 1/4 acre is mined per year. <br />D. In what direction is mining proceeding? <br />Mining is proceeding in a West Northwest direction. <br />E. How long will the operation last? <br />Estimated life of the operation is 15 years. <br />F. How will you affect the power that is located on the northwest <br />side of the property? <br />The power line will not be affected, and the applicant will <br />respect the right of way for this line. <br />2. Map <br />A. Outline in red where the affected land will be. <br />The attached Highway 291 Pit Area Piap is marked in red showing <br />the entire parcel as affected lands. <br />~ c..; i.- <br />A. If the soil is moderately alkaline, a soils test must be <br />taken to insure that vegetation will grow, do you agree to <br />do this? <br />Operatoz will agree to a soil test, if necessary. }iowever, <br />adjacent farm land indicates good vegetative growth. <br />4. iildlife <br />A. If the end use is for woldlife, do you plan to contact the <br />Colorado Division of Wildlife for their suggestions? <br />
