• „ iii iiiiiiiiiiiu iii
July 12, 1999
To Who It May Concern:
RE: Wagner Rock Fit
RECEIVED
JUL 10 1999
,..~n of Min:~a~ & Geology
It has been brought to my attention that some neighbors have
filed a complaint against the permit for this pit. I feel this
objection may be classed only upon the lack. of knowledge of
several facts. The pit is located far enough from any residences
that any noise is barely noticeable. I have seen Dale Hiskup
raise more dust when he farms the area adjacent to the pit than
the pit has produced. Pertaining to any possible run off of
water from snow melt or rainfall, the location of the pit is such
that I can see no possible detriment to the spring from this.
I have been to the pit site and =_poken with Jay Wagner, and the
only blasting that he would be dcing would 6e popping excavated
rocks to^ large far his trucF:s. This would have no affect on the
spring in question as the Neilson major blasting of a few years
ago on the other side of the rtountain from which the spring
flows, apparently had no adverse effect on the spring.
It is obvious to me that any complaint of the way Jay Wagner is
operating the mine must be for a reason other than any possible
harm to the spring or the environrtent.
Therefore, I am completely in support of this mining operation.
Sincerely,
~~ .~,,~,e~_
Otis LyoUns
