Subject: Forest Lakes Sand & Gravel Permit Application
Dear *1r. Stanton:
Please find below additional information your department has
requested for our gravel permit application. I hope this
information will be adequate so the Board will approve our
permit at the next meeting.
Exhibit B - Mining Flan (Supplgment)
1. Top soil from the mining area will be removed
by standard. methods and stockpiled in an area
to the south of the pit according to my revised ~~'
Exhibit C. See the area outlined in green.
The top soil will be stabalized with perenial
grass at a rate of 10 lbs/acre, pure live seed.
2. Excavated 1r.aterial will then be loaded onto
trucks and transported to the old gravel pit
for stockpiling and later crushing.
3. Crushing, per your departments recomendation,
will be conducted in the old gravel pit and ~
stockpiles of crushed material will also be
stored there for later transportation.
4. Material that is crus;7ed will be used only for
t11e Forest Lakes Subdivision road system. No
gravel will be sold to individuals, or companies
as this is not a commercial operation.
5. It is anticipated that the mining operation will
be complete in 1986.
6. The mining operation will not affect FVOmmer Ditch
which borders the east edge of the operation. To
insure the ditch slope stability, mining will be
kept at least 50 feet away. In addition, no
equipment will, operate wit}1in 30 feet of the ditch.
