Wommer ditch, which seperates the two pits, <br />is crossed using an existing roadway, The <br />roadway co:ZSists of a large culvert providing <br />unrestricted flow of the ditch water, covered <br />with 12 in~~hes of road base material. <br />The roadway was constructed in the fifties to <br />support la:^ge contruction equipment and it <br />is still sound. <br />Exhibit C - Map -(Strpplement) <br />1. Please find attached a new map which will more <br />clearly dei`ine the operations area, along with d <br />designations for stock pile areas and crushing ~'' <br />operations. <br />The old pit: is being included in this permit <br />application per your departments requirements and <br />will be included in the reclamation plan. <br />Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan (Revised) <br />1. Top soil from the mining of pit #1 will be removed ~~~ <br />prior to mining and stockpiled south of pit #1. <br />Following completion of mining in pit #l, the <br />edges of the pit will be gently sloped into the <br />existing pond. Very little of the stockpiled top <br />soil will be needed to reclaim the pond edges. <br />The back sloped edges, with top soil, will be <br />seeded according to your recommendations detailed <br />in a 2lovember 10, 1981 letter from P9ike Stanton. <br />In addition, reclamation of gravel pit #2 (old <br />pit) will be done as follows: <br />~~~j4lY~ a) Pit edges will all be sloped and stab- <br />No~: alized with seed according to your de- <br />3'.1 partments recommendations using unused h!C <br />Mw ~~, topsoil from pit #1 stockpiles.
