SHEITON, Dlr~ctor
Richard D. Lamm
Governor
March 30, 1984
Mr. Wilbur F. Benham
Pinewood Springs
Lyons, Colorado 80540
Re: Toltec No. 2
File No. M-84-039
Dear Mr. Benham:
I have dust completed the review of the above application and need you to
address the following questions before our next Board meeting. Please have
your answers back to us by April 20, 1984, so we can incorporate them into
your application.
Exhibit A - Legal Description
We will need the quarter quarter section description for our records 1n order
to locate the operation in future inspections. Therefore, please supply
quarter quarter section information.
Exhibit B - Mining Plan
The mining plan 1s sketchy as to where surface disturbances are to be
located. It is obvious that there will be some disturbances outside of the
existing rock outcrop, i.e. development rock waste piles, parking locations
and equipment storage area, etc. Therefore, please detail all of the
disturbances associated with your operation and Include any road improvements
ar new roads that may be associated with your operation. In addition, please
detail the size and shape of the proposed bench that you will produce during
mining.
Exhibit C - Maps
The maps supplied on the application do not detail any of the existing ground
conditions. Therefore, please supply a new map to scale, that shows at a
minimum the boundary of the permit area, all access roads, location for the
bench and portal, any temporary structure, location for waste rock pile,
parking location, storage sites, and adjacent landowners. In addition,
contour intervals on this map would be of benefit 1n portraying your proposed
mining plan.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
