Dillie, <br />Division of FAinerals & Geology <br />As per your letter dated March 21, 1995, I am responding to <br />the following adequacy questions regarding Spring Creek Gravel Pit, <br />File No. M-94-097, Montrose County, Colorado. <br />ITEM 1. EXHIBIT C <br />q1~-- a. Aye will abide by all DMEA requirements to protect the power <br />pole. See attached agreement. <br />6~- b. The road will remain after mining ceases to enhance access for <br />our farming operation. q ~„y.,d, <br />ITEM 2. EXHIBIT D <br />a.& c. <br />The top's oil will be stored in the' general area of the <br />topographical depression. We intend to place the topsoil in <br />an area that may provide a buffer for wind erosion but. does <br />not affect the watercourse (i.e. on the rim of the depression <br />area). <br />ITEM 3. EXHIBIT E <br />c. The.pit highwalls will be graded to an approximate 3:1 to 4:1 <br />slope as mining progresses. We intend to mine the material <br />based on that approximate slope to ensure that the finished <br />slope is 4:1 in a completed area: <br />f. We will commit to grading the topsoil sideslopes to 3:1 or <br />less. <br />
