ITEM 4, EXHIBIT F
a. Based on the estimated depth of the depression in the NE
corner and the approximate depth of gravel, it is our opinion
that the overall floor of the.postmining permit .area will be
relatively level. However, as you indicated,_a depression in
the NE corner may .remain. We anticipate that the seepage
pond will be eliminated as mining progresses.
ITgM 5, EXHIBIT O
a. Please see attached acknowledgement signed by CYiarles R.
Shaver.
ITEM 6. EXHIBIT L
a. - I. In response to the equipment issue, we would anticipate
that the need for equipment will be minimized due .to the
following: -
{A) The pit highwalls will be graded at 4:1 during the
mining process which should eliminate the need for
additional cat work.
(B) We will leave sufficient gravel resource on the
bottom of the pit floor (1.5 to 2.O feet of gravel)
which will overlay the shale layer in order to
ensure adequate drainage once the. topsoil in
replaced. We would anticipate. leaving a level
surface as the mining operation progresses and would
not anticipate ripping the underlying surface prior
to. redepositing the topsoil.
(C) As noted, However, we feel a paddlewheel scraper or
grader could replace the topsoil without utilizing
a cat.
(D) As noted.
a. -'II. As•noted.
a. - III. We anticipate the access. road along the north boundary
of the 40 acre permit site will be gradually .removed
.through the mining process as mining progresses to the NW
corner of the property.
a. - IV. We•have contacted the adjoining property owner (Appelhanz
pit 'on our east boundary) and hope to have them utilize
their D-8 cat and possibly a front-end loader on a
contract basis. All other equipment will be brought in
from Montrose as indicated.
