• 1 ~ w v.ti ,,., ,
'~~~~ 1111111111111lIIIlI
_..,
Reclamation of Coal View Ghost R:mch
The proposals herein arc designed to eliminate past problems,
restore quality. and quantity of water, prevent erosion and restore
this ranch to as good or better condition than it was before Coal
Mining activities..
In general we desire that ripping, ponds, terraces be constructed
to hold water where it falls. That top soil be placed on the steep
slopes to comply with the law. 'That no ponds be constructed over old
underground mines. That access be provided off the haul road to ranch
areas. That all areas damaged by runoff be reclaimed. That all areas
that have experienced any mining activity be reclaimed and properly
seeded. That the airfield be sodded and associated meadow be restored.
That all rocks which have been placed or left on grazing land be re-
moved. That the haul road be generally restored to it's original
condition, eliminating steep slopes and berms, narrowing road and
grading so that snow can be plawed off the road.
Detail to Restore Mined Area
1. Land which was left on Grassy Creek property to be returned to
my property and terraced, then ripped so that moisture may enter the
soil.
2. The mined area should be ripped across the slopes every 25'
at least 3' deep.
3. Install 40' x 1' culvert for access beti.~een lower gate and
lrn~er catch basen.
