I have several questions and comments that I <br />have organized on an exhibit-by-exhibit basis below. As always, any exhibits or <br />parts thereof not mentioned are consideredadequate at this time. <br />1 should mention that I will be in the field all of next week. Since 1 will be down <br />in the southwestern corner of the state, I will not be able to discuss this matter <br />with you during that time. Please try to give me a call no later than this Friday <br />if you have any questions concerning this letter. <br />Application item i5: I note that the proposed future land use is "open space, <br />,X wildlife habitat." However, later on in the application (exhibit E, page 3) a <br />grazing program is described. What is to be the planned future Land use? <br />Exhibit A <br />~/ Please describe the affected land to the nearest quarter,quarter <br />section. <br />Exhibits B & C <br />1. Much more detail is needed on the cyanide leaching process to be <br />used in the mill. The following items should be addressed in <br />detail: <br />a. Describe and illustrate the proposed design and construction <br />specifications and methodology of the cyanide ore processing <br />facilities. <br />b. Describe and illustrate environmental controls and considerations <br />in the proposed leaching system (e.g., detection systems in the <br />event of seepage out of the system, spillage or breaches lead- <br />ing to loss of toxic materials or solutions, protective berms, <br />protection of the adjacent Gaines Gulch, inspection procedures <br />for the cyanide facility, etc.). <br />
