The following information
covers the time period from July 28, 1997 -August 03, 1997.
General Construction Summary and Schedule
Construction of the RPE Pond (TR79) will be 100% complete with the completion of fencing and
sediment ditch inlets next week. Excavation of Phase 1C and Phase 1D and creation of structural
fill via screening operations continue. Construction of [he Pond SG-1 embankments, filling of the
shaft bench areas, and installation of the 54" Clearwater diversion (CCW-1B) are in progress.
Excavation of the Electric Borehole Road continues. The large multiplate culvert for the main
crossing of Sylvester Gulch was backfilled in advance of the start of MSE wall F-1 and F-2
construction. The main Sylvester Gulch road was widened in specific locations to provide
turnouts for two-way traffic. Widened sections were selected to avoid identified slide zones and
wetlands. Light afternoon and evening rains occurred at the site Tuesday and Wednesday, and
heavy showers occurred Thursday morning through noon.
III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
999
