Banta.
Division Dvector
The Division has received your first invoice for work being performed at the
Hawk's Nest Mine. I performed an inspection of the site on November 19, 1990
in order to determine if required work on each of the bid items listed on the
invoice had been completed in accordance with specifications. The results of
the inspection are as follows:
1. Mobilization/Demobilization - 75% of bid amount accepted for payment
($4,725.00).
2. Substation Facilities - 100% of bid amount accepted for payment
($2,000.00).
Switch Gear Building - 100% of bid amount accepted for payment
(51,400.00).
Crusher Facility - Only about 50-75% of the steel portion of the
structure has been removed, and this portion has only been stockpiled on
the other side of the highway. None of the foundations have been
removed. As such, the Division can only approve 40% of the bid amount
for payment at this time ($1,040.00).
Steel Fuel Tank = None of the work on removing this structure and
disposing of it off site has been completed, therefore the Division
cannot approve payment at this time.
Miscellaneous Steel Tank - 100% of bid amount accepted for payment
($2,700.00).
Pump House Building - 100% of bid amount accepted for payment ($1,700.00).
River Pumping Facility - Only the wood shack and pump have been removed.
The vertical CMP housing is still in place. The Division can approve
payment of 40% of the bid amount at this time ($240.00).
Warehouse Building #2 - Although all of the above grade portions of this
structure have been removed, the concrete pad and footers still remain in
place. As such, the Division can approve only 75% of the bid amount for
payment at this time ($1,575.00).
