R~~ources <br />Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />423 Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Co. 60203 <br />Subject: Twin Pines No. 2 Mine, File No: C-058-83, Status of <br />Permit Stipulations <br />Dear Mr. Oliver: <br />The following is a summary of the status of stipulations set <br />forth in the findings for subject permit application: <br />Stipulations Status of: <br />Stipulation No. 1: The well monitoring sampling program will <br />begin immediately after the mining permit is issued. The initial <br />report will be submitted by January 15, 1985. <br />Stipulation No. 2: The quarterly report concerning inflows and <br />water balance in Twin Pines No. 2 Mine will be submitted as <br />stipulated in the findings. <br />Stipulation No 3: Twin Pines is contemplating an outside source <br />of water for use at and in the mine. The City of Rockvale has <br />been approached and requested to provide water from their <br />pipeline on Oak Creek. Water from the pipeline will be pumped <br />to a storage tank at the mine site. The pump station will be <br />located adjacent to the Rockvale pipeline near station 3 + 29 on <br />the access road. A 2 inch buried pipeline in the access road <br />right of way will be installed in the initial construction phase. <br />As an alternate water would be purchased locally and hauled to <br />the site. <br />Stipulation No. 4: Concerning the handling of top soil from the <br />Lewis Gulch fill area. Page B1 (rev) of the permit application <br />describes the procedure for handling the top soil from the fill <br />area. As stated in the application the "top soil?" will be <br />removed from the slope and placed in a temporary stockpile near <br />the fill area. Upon completion of the highwall fill, the <br />temporary stockpile will be hauled to the bench and uniformly <br />spread on the highwall fill slope. The plan for reclaiming the <br />Lewis Gulch fill area is presented on pages 86 (rev) and 88 (rev) <br />of the permit application. <br />
