Bruce Humphries
Supervisor-Mineral Section
Mined Land Reclamation Division
Colorado Dept of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St, Rm 215
Denver, Co 80203
Dear Mr. Humphries,
C
F~ECE~V~~
Mined Land
Reclamation ~~~%'~'^r
Thank you for the generous amount of time you spent with
Wayne and I on Monday. We particularly appreciated the
extended interchange with Carl Mount and Bill York-Feirn. We
were able to discuss in depth the items of possible violation
on the March 31 Inspection Report. We understand that on the
16th of April, all matters of concern are to be as the permit
states. We agreed that following the inspection, there are
changes that appear to be appropriate, and actually
preferred. We will seek further guidance on these issues at
a later date. Following is our understanding of our
conversations:
Ownership cif Processed Ore
We understand that ore owned and permitted in COM, Inc.'s
name can be milled at COM, Ines permitted mill. We further
understand that any additional properties to be milled at
Gold Hill must be separately permitted and attached to our
permit.
er Management
With the application for the access hole in the Times Mine,
the technical revision for the ground disturbance of
approximately 20'X20' on Left Hand Ditch we will have brought
the water management into compliance.
Tailings SD111
The approximate 200 gallons of tailing that were spilled were
picked-up and placed in the tailings pond. The cause of the
spill has been eliminated by a modification in the flotation
discharge tank, any overflow goes directly to the tailings
pond. It was determined that this did not constitute a
technical revision - merely a modification, and no special
documentation is required.
