Drawer K <br />Fruita, Colorado 81521 <br />Re: McClane Canyon Stipulations <br />File No.: C-004-80 <br />Dear Mr. Bosworth: <br />This letter is written to clarify the present status of permit <br />stipulations for the McClane Canyon Mining operation. The following is <br />the Division's understanding of the status of each stipulation. <br />Stipulation No. 1: This is an ongoing stipulation covering previously <br />unidentified cultural resources. This stipulation will remain in effect <br />throughout this permit term. <br />Sitpulation No. 2: This is an ongoing stipulation covering waste rock <br />disposal. This stipulation will be satisfaied in conjunction with Munger <br />Canyon stipulation No. 4. <br />Stipulation No. 3: This is an ongoing stipulation covering surface water <br />monitoring. This stipulation will remain in effect until the Division <br />approves a revised monitoring program. <br />Stipulation No. 4: This is an ongoing stipulation concerning an annual <br />mine inflow report. This stipulation will remain in effect throughout <br />this permit term. The annual inflow report is due on April 18 of each <br />year. <br />Stipulation No. 5: This is an ongoing stipulation concerning monitoring <br />of groundwater in wells GW-1 and GW-4. This stipulation will remain in <br />effect throughout this permit term unless a revision is approved by the <br />Division. <br />Stipulation No. 6: This stipulation concerns sampling of material in <br />areas that will not be topsoiled upon reclamation. A response has been <br />submitted, but the results are inconclusive. In addition to the surface <br />sample which has already been collected and analyzed, Salt Creek Mining <br />Co. must collect and analyze samples from depths of 1-2 feet, 2-3 feet, <br />and 3-4 feet. <br />423 Centennial Building. 1313 Sherman Street <br /> <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
