CAMAS further requests an adjustment to dle site financial <br /> warranty proportional to the acreage associated with this request as detailed below. A copy <br /> of this request has been sent via certified mail to Jefferson County (proof of mailing enclosed) <br /> and CAMAS is the owner of the affected land. A courtesy copy has also been sent to the <br /> Town of Morrison with whom CAMAS has been making joint development plans for the site <br />or~n~s following mining. <br />Boston <br />nao~s~rdrrrserrs This request for reclamation/financial warranty release is for the upper portion of a reclaimed <br />Cle,-Aland slope along the west side of the "Central Quarry" part of the site comprising approximateiy <br />Olr;o 11.6 acres (scaled key map enclosed). This area was mined to bench and highwall <br />Hartford configurations consisting of approximate 1.5:1 (vertical:horizontal). Subseyuettt to mining, <br />Cunneainrr the benches were completely backfilled from top to bottom using stripped overburden and <br />Los Angeles weathered rock material not suitable for processing. Following backfilling, slopes were <br />Cnlifnrn;n stabilized by topsoil placement and hydroseeding with native grasses in accordance with the <br />Manchester permit reclamation plan, which in turn was followed by tree and shrub planting. <br />Ncw Hnrn/rslrirr <br />Newark Reclamatior. of the subject area occurred over an extended period of time beginning with <br />Ncw /erscy slope backfilling during the late 1980s. Hydroseeding occurred in several phases during the <br />Poreand early 1990~s. Tree and shrub plantings were completed during 1995 - 1998 after successful <br />M~;,,,, es[ablishment of the grasses. Minor repair of small areas of slope erosion has beer. done <br />Rochester periodically to achieve the present stable and reclaimed condition.
