CAMAS further understands that your
inspection at that tune found the slope to be in acceptably-reclaimed condition and hope that
the recent photographs included (July 1999) may demonstrate the slopes continued stability
and preclude the need for another field inspection. It is CAMAS' intent to reduce the site
financial warranty, if this request is approved, by $123,725.60. This would be in accordance
with recent per-acre reclamation costs ($10,666/acre) from the financial warranty increase of
$365,844 (for an increase of approximately 34.3 acres) associated will[ the approval of Permit
Amendment No. 5 last November.
I hope this narrative and the enclosed map and photographs are sufficient information ofr the
Division to make a favorable determination on the release of this reclaimed-affected land at
the Morrison Quarry. If you have any questions or require additional information, please
contact me or either Mr. Mike Refer or Ms. Jamie Wilkins at CAMAS.
~~~3- jb) ' X0'70
Sincerely yours,
HALEY & ALDRICH, INC.
Alan L.
