The Division has reviewed your responses to our adequacy concerns
regarding the above referenced technical revision and has
additional comments. The numbering sequence used below follows the
sequence of the original adequacy review dated March 7, 1995.
1) The revegetation success standard was added to the
discussion on page 109. Therefore, this comment has been
adequately addressed.
2) A 33$ discrepancy remains between Eastside's and the
Division's estimates of cut and fill material available
on site. In an effort to resolve this discrepancy,
Eastside has agreed to send the pre-mining and post-
mining data points to the Division so that information
can be converted into the EarthVision program which will
allow the Division to accurately calculate the volume to
be used for regrading the site.
3) Eastside's estimates for the cost of shaping the proposed
diversion channel and for purchase and placement of
filter fabric and riprap material is adequate.
4) and 5) The Division's concerns regarding costs for
rock lining and filter fabric or gravel lining
in the diversion channel will no longer apply
if the channel is liked with vegetation
instead of riprap as verbally indicated by
Eastside. However, Eastside still must submit
designs for the vegetative lining.
