These sites include:
Site Name DMG #
Howe Pit M-78-052
Tanabe Pit M-00-002
Dunes Develo ment M-99-093
Mann Lakes M-82-147
Ft. Enclosed
please find a check for $1,519.00 made out to the Division of Water Resources for the renewal of the
seven sites in this combined plan.
Howe Pit, Tanabe Pit, the Dune Development site, and the Mann Lakes Pit are still active mining sites.
The only water use at the Fort Lupton Pit will be evaporation from exposed groundwater. The
Stagecoach Stop Property and Riverbend Operation remain inactive with no exposed groundwater or
consumptive use.
The total consumptive use has not changed from the March 11, 2003 submittal for these sites. The
combined plan will continue to use recharge of 25 Fulton Ditch shares into Zigan Reservoir and apply a
lease from the City of Greeley as replacement sources. Adequate replacements are currently only secured
through March 2005. It is requested that the plan be approved through October 31, 2005, but with a
condition that additional sources will be obtained to complete the water year. The additional replacement
source will be submitted to the SEO prior to March 31, 2005.
UPDATED CONSUMPTIVE USE
There are no changes in the consumptive uses ofthe mining operation or the lagged timing ofthe mining
depletions from the March l 1, 2003 submittal to the SEO. Table No. 1 shows the timing ofthe depletions
for each site. The total consumptive use for the five sites will remain 228.4 acre-feet (Table No. l). The
equilibrium values for depletions are used for all five sites.
