As stated in the
original plan, Mr. Olin intends to utilize his properly for commercial use once mining is
complete. To better suit this intended use, we are proposing modifications to the size
and elevations of the benches. These changes are mainly with respect to the final
reclamation topography, as mining will proceed essentially as planned with the minimal
changes as described below.
The following describes the proposed changes to the Bridal Veil Construction site;
please refer to attached drawing RP-1:
Exhibit D -Reclamation Plan
Bench 1 on the west side of the property has been mined to the elevation stated in the
original mining plan dated May 2, 2001. It is intended to backfill this bench to an
elevation of 7655 feet, ten (10) feet above the existing elevation, to approximately match
the elevation of the 50-foot buffer zone from the highway as the final roclamation
topography. This will be accomplished using approximately 3000 c.y. of reject materials
located on site. Some of this material will be obtained while lowering Bench 2 to match
the elevation of Bench 1. The remaining fill will also be obtained on-site.
Bench 2 has also been mined to the original proposed elevation. It is proposed to lower
this bench by approximately ten (10) feet to match the proposed elevation of Bench 1.
This will create a large bench by combining Bench 1 and 2 at an elevation of 7655 feet.
This large bench will be sloped to provide drainage to the south channel and settling
pond.
A COMPANY OF ENGINEERS AND SCIENTISTS PO BOX 738 /OURAY, CO 81427 / (970) 325-4320 /FAX (970J 325-0624
REXBURG /BOISE /WYOMING / WENATCHEE /SALT LAKE CITY/ SACRAMENTO /COLORADO
www./orsgren.com ~
