Pond M3-N is only 1.5 acres instead of the 4.0 acres
assumed in CMLRD Table 7. Therefore, the total affected acres are
358.8. The acreage referenced in the bond adjustment submittal did not
include the 5.8 acres associated with ponds M3-N and M3-5 (353.0 + 5.8
= 358.8). As shown in CMLRD's Table 7 the 362.0 affected acres
associated with the original affected acreage minus the 19.1 acres
associated with the haul road deeded to the county equals 362.9 acres.
The 4.1 acres difference between 362.9 and 358.8 is easily due to
rounding error.
3) Topsoil and Acreage Discrepancy
No topsoil has been lost and all of the original topsoil except that
associated with the office site has been distributed. The apparent
discrepancy results from several factors. First, Map No. 15a does not
show the entire acreage that the total 901,200 yds3 of topsoil
referenced on the map and on page 2.05-44 were to be distributed on.
Examination of Map No. 16 Reclamation and subsequent reclamation reports
show areas where some of this topsoil was distributed but which were
left off Map No. 15a. A large portion of the acreage left off Map No.
15a is associated with the overburden stockpile at the southern end of
the property. Topsoil was also used in reclaiming access routes to
~~~5
