Approval for this storage area was requested in the past as a part of MR 80. At
that time, DMG denied WFU's request and advised that WFU resubmit this application with
additional information requested in DMG's letter dated April 15, 1993.
Please note the following:
• Copies of the Sedcad calculations for the proposed temporary storage area are
enclosed. The computed runoff from the existing roadway is 0.07 acre feet while
the runoff from the same area with refuse storage is 0.06 acre feet. The difference
between these two conditions is basically that the road itself is less pervious than
the refuse being stored, resulting in slightly higher runoff. Pond RP 2/3 was
constructed with a storage capacity of 7.40 acre feet. The required storage from
the original design is 6.20 acre feet. This gives us an additional 1.20 acre feet of
storage. Hence, the pond as constructed is more than adequate.
Suite #305
405 Utban Street
lakewood.
