The proposed project is located within Sections 15, 21 and <br />22, Township 13 South, Range 90 West, Gunnison County, Colorado. <br />In accordance with nationwide general permit 21 for surface <br />coal mining activities an Office of Surface Mining or state <br />approved mitigation plan must be included under the Notification <br />general condition. Wright Water Engineers has prepared and <br />submitted a wetland mitigation plan on behalf of Mountain Coal <br />Company for impacts to waters of the United States, including <br />wetlands. We believe that the. mitigation plan will successfully <br />offset proposed impacts at the mine site. <br />We have enclosed a copy of the Mitigation Plan for your <br />review and approval.
