DMG's
review was dated June 9, 1995. Based upon DMG's letter and discussions conducted with Mr.
Randall Price, WFC modifies its request as follows:
1- () delete monitoring of five (5) groundwater monitoring wells and two surface monitoring
stations,
~~ Drr~ (ii) revise the sampling frequency, and
~~- ~y,,~tuf(iiij revise the number of parameters to be analyzed in a laboratory.
We propose to eliminate monitoring of the following groundwater monitoring wells and two surface
stations for the cited reasons:
~1. GW-NiP1 This well duplicates the purpose of Well GW-Ni
~2. GW-N4R This well duplicates the purpose of Well GW-N4
~3. GW-N19 These three wells do not serve any practical purpose at this time since Wells
f4. GW-N20 GW-N36, GW-N37 and GW-N38 located in the northeast corner and Wells
~5. GW-N21 GW-N16P1, GW-N17P1 and GW-N18P1 located in the southwest comer
of NH2 mine serve to adequately sample groundwater entering and leaving
NH2 mine.
~
~/ 6. SW-N4 This station in Tuttle Draw is unnecessary since stations SW-N1 and SW-N3
adequately serve monitoring purposes.
7.
