Bond Release Inspection - North Thompson Creek Mines
Permit C-81-025
Message: The following information may clear up a few of the
issues we discussed durlnq the bond release inspection.
1. The rule I was looking for regarding bonding requirements
for mine drainage is located in DMG's Rule 3.06.1. The
rule states that "the bond amount determination made
under 3.02.2 shall not include continuous treatment,
monitoring, or potential unpredictable expenses resulting
from mine drainage".
2. The last paragraph on permit page 4-54 discusses the
introduction of Russinn olive trees.
3. The 1992 vegetation report is contained in volume II,
Appendix 3-W. The 1991 Vegetation report was submitted
to the DMG with Minrec's 1991 annual reclamation report.
4. The upper diversion ditch for the refuse pile (Ditch D-7)
is shown on drawing D-4-8. The design flow is for the
100 year event, 66 cfs. The calculation page for ditch
D-7 is presented in Volume IIZ, Appendix 4-B.
