The Division has reviewed <br />the amendment application, and hereby notifies you of the following: <br />Determination of Coal Exploration [Rules 2.02.2(1) and 1.04(22)] <br />The activities proposed in the amendment application qualify as "coal exploration". The coal <br />exploration activities proposed will involve removal of 250 tons or less of coal. <br />Determination of Completeness [Rule 2.02.2(2)] <br />The amendment application for coal exploration involving removal of 250 tons of less of coal is <br />"complete". <br />Determination of Substantial Natural Land Surface Disturbance [Rules 2.02.2(3) and 1.04(127)] <br />The exploration activities proposed will "substantially disturb" the natural land surface. <br />Adequacy Review <br />The amendment application proposes the drilling of four new holes. Three of these new holes <br />(NF-01 B, NF-02A, and NF-03B) will be drilled at locations approved via the original Notice of <br />Intent. For the fourth new hole, the amendment application states that "a portion of the drill <br />trail (existing road) to NF-04 will cross surface owned by the Cotter Corporation in the S W 1/4 <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines <br />
