Botti Construction and Gravel to address the concerns <br />raised during the most recent inspection of the Moonscape Pit.(2-11-2003). I have <br />reviewed the inspection report and reviewed the conditions at the site. The Inspection <br />noted two problems that needed to be addressed. <br />1. Topsoil stockpiles still do not support any stabilizing vegetation. <br />Corrective Action: If reclamation, including replacement of topsoil is not completed <br />by Mazch 31, 2003, the Operator must submit documentation that these piles have <br />had the surface loosened and (tilled), that they have been seeded and mulched by that <br />date. Correction Date 3/31/2003 <br />Operator Response: <br />The surface of the topsoil stock pile was loosened by tacking a dozer up and down the <br />slope to create grouser mazks for moisture and seed retention the operator then hand <br />broadcast the seed mixture as specified in the Reclamation Ptan and straw mulch over <br />the entire stockpile. The stockpile was then re-tracked to crimp the straw into the <br />stockpile. Receipt documenting seed purchase from Southwest Seed and photos are <br />attached. <br />In addition the operator has broadcast the Reclamation Plan seed mixture and <br />installed a permanent protective straw blanket (envioromat) along the entire final <br />reclaimed slope behind the shop.
