., iii iiiii~iiiiiuiii ,
Surface Mine Reclamation Cost Estimate
Battle Mountain Resources Inc.
San Luis Mine
September 1999
This reclamation cost estimate has been prepared evaluating current reclamation (i.e.,
physical stabilization) cost obligations associated with previous/current mine and
beneficiation disturbances at the Battle Mountain Resources Inc.-San Luis Mine in
Costilla County, Colorado. This revision provides a site reclamation status report and
reflects wage and equipment rate adjustments (i.e., 1999) for remaining reclamation
obligations. Since concurrent reclamation practices were conducted during operations
(i.e.,1990-1996) and post-mine reclamation practices continued afrer the Octo~er 1996
operations suspension, considerable reclamation obligations associated with th;, mine's
mining and beneficiation operations have been completed. This summary provides a unit
by unit reclamation cost revision.
The Steffen, Robertson, and Kirsten (SRK) reclamation cost estimate of May S, 1994 for
the San Luis Mine has been used as a template.
A.
