Dear Steve,
United Companies is applying to amend this Mining and Reclamation Permit to add a
new road for access to the operating area of this gravel pit near Montrose, Colorado.
Additional information concerning this proposed Amendment will be presented in the
order used in the Division's Second Adequacy Review letter dated Apri12, 2003.
Adequacy Issues
1- S&R Delta Partners LLLP notice letter is attached.
Exhibit C -Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map of Affected Lands
Item 3. The Mine Plan Map showing the new access road has been revised to show the
items listed in the Second Adequacy Review letter.
Item 5. A Permit Boundary has been added to the map. The additional area added to
the permit was calculated by multiplying the length of the new access road
2,621 feet by 30 feet width. This area,78,630 square feet or 1.805 acres, the
Change in acreage shown on the application form.
Item 6. The notes requested were put on the map.
