Box 980 <br />Carbondale, Colorado 81623 <br />Dear Craig: <br />Concerning your January 29, 1981 request for a minor revision to abate violation <br />no. 80-41, the Division has reviewed the request and hereby approves the <br />revision with the following stipulations: <br />1. Rfter the spoil pile in question is removed the area will be ripped <br />to reduce compaction and be re-seeded at the first normal period for <br />favorable planting conditions; <br />2. The abatement work will be completed, except for revegetation by <br />March 8, 1981. <br />Before work on this abatement starts, Snowmass must wait 10 days after <br />publication of a legal notice to verify that no one is requesting a hearing <br />on this matter. Publication of the legal notice which I have enclosed will <br />take place on February 11, 1981 in the Glenwood Post. The Division will <br />notify Snowmass Coal in writing if a formal hearing has been requested. <br />I have also granted an extension of time for abatement to March 8, 1982 under <br />the conditions of the January 29, 1981 minor revision and stipulations of <br />MLRD in its February 4, 1981 approval of the revision. <br />If you have any questions concerning this matter, please call. <br />Sincerely, <br />Robert Liddle <br />Reclamation Specialist <br />/k <br />encl. <br />
