MOUNT ROYALE VENTURES, LLC "~
Post office Box 19754
Boulder, Colorado 80308
(720) SBS3448
March 23, 2005
Ms. Kate Pickford
Environmental Protection Specialist
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street -Room 215
Denver. Colorado 80203
RE: Technical Revision No. O6
Gold Hil~ill (MLRD Permit No. M-94-1 7)
Dear Ms. Pickford:
j 'r~ - (c~
RECEIVED
MAR 13 1005 "~
Division of Millerats and Geology
Mount Royale Ventures, LLC ("MRV") proposes the following minor modifications to
facilities that may have a material effect on the existing Gold Hill Mill Permit No. M-94-
117. Through this transmittal, MRV is requesting MLRD review and issuance of an
authorization to proceed with the implementation of the following indicated actions,
subject to MLRD concurrence and MRV conformance with applicable building codes and
permit requirements.
1) Modular Field Office
MRV plans to install a modular office structure at a location adjacent and parallel
to the northwest side of the mill structure (see attached Figure 1). The proposed
structure is a 10'x44' self-contained mobile office trailer that will be utilized as
an onsite field office for mine management personnel. The unit is comprised of
office space only and there are no internally plumbed facilities, thus there will be
no directly associated sanitary facilities connected thereto (existing sanitary
facilities located elsewhere onsite will be utilized). Electrical service will be
supplied via an extension from the mill building, consistent with Boulder County
permit requirements and codes, as applicable. The unit will be painted a light
green and grey color to minimize visual impact.
2) Fuel Storage Facility
MRV plans to construct a fuel storage facility at a location approximately 125 feet
west of the mill structure along the north side of the mine service road (see
attached Figure 1). The proposed structure will consist of a single 2-
compartment (250 gallons per compartment) Con-Vault "armor cast" (or
equivalent) fuel containment system. This sytem employs a concrete
encasement shell around a steel primary tank that affords overfill spill protection
