On behalf of Bowie Resources LLC, enclosed is an application for a technical revision.
The proposed revision updates the drainage plan in the area of the B-Seam Portal and
Pond C. The following discussion explains the revisions to the drainage plan and
addresses the concerns you identified during a recent field inspection:
Ditch D-619 and D-B21i do flow into culvert C-617. The black 12" plastic
culvert conveys flow from the area of the thickener to culvert C-B-17 and is
not a designed culvert.
2. Culvert C-G1 was removed from the south side of the haul road leading to
Pond C.
3. Maps 15-1, 21-1 and 22-C were amended to show the light use road that
provides access to the water treatment building located on the northwest side
of Pond C. The treatment facility was also added to the list of mine facilities
in Section 2.05.3(3)(a) and in the Pond C discussion on page 2.05-29.
4. Ditch B-28 shown on Map 21-1 was deleted from the design. Culvert C-B16
was extended through the location of ditch B-28 and Culvert C-620 which
was also deleted from the design.
Map 22-C was amended to show that much of the pond embankment was
eliminated when the gob pile haul road was built up.
6. Map 22-C was amended to show the new piping and valve system for the
discharge of water from pond C.
