J. J. Dudash - 2 - April 5, 2005
7. Since the mine discharge water from pond C was routed through culvert C-
G2, anew culvert C-G2 was installed and is dedicated to handle only the flow
from the gob pile haul road, ditch D-G1.
The topsoil salvaged from the drill pad above the utility bench was to be
stockpiled on top of the B-Seam excess material storage stockpile. However,
ground conditions did not allow the topsoil to be place8 in that location. I
would like to leave the topsoil stockpile shown on the B-Seam excess
material storage stockpile to allow flexibility for any future topsoil salvable
operations.
9. Map 21-1 was amended to show the revisions to the drainage plan that
resulted from culvert C-C8 being abandoned. Culvert C-C8 is now the culvert
that handles a small amount of drainage originating from the B-Seam portal
bench. There are two culverts that run under the paved haul road at the
entrance to the B-Seam portal bench. One is culvert C-C8, the other is to
handle discharge from the mine and is not a design culvert.
10. My version of Map 15-2, revision 16, shows a topsoil stockpile located on the
west slope of the rock protection berm. Is this the topsoil stockpile you are
concerned about?
11. New culvert C-C21 was added to the north side of the paved road leading to
the office parking lot. Ditch D-C20 flows to C-C21.
Amended pages 2.05-16, 2.05-29, Exh8-29, 29i, 31, 32v, 58iii, 66, 67, 69, 72, 74 and
Maps 15-1, 15-2, 21-1, 21-2 and 22-C are enclosed.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerer
J.
