iii iiiiiiiiiiiu iii
BATTLE MOUNTAIN GOLD COMPANY
December 14, 1992
Mr. Larry Oehler
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Re: Battle Mountain Resources, Inc.
DMG Permit No. M-88-112
Request for Technical Revision
Dear Mr. Oehler:

DEC 1 81992
DfVISIU;~~ ~~
MINERALS ~ GF(; _, .r,,.
i
~:
~~._-.~
BATTLE MOUN W N
GOLD COMPANY
(BMRI) - San Luis Project
No. 012, Warehouse Addition
The quantity and variety of warehouse inventory items is being
increased to better serve the needs of the operation. To provide
adequate storage for the additional inventory items, an outside
covered parts rack is being constructed adjacent to and covering
the existing parts rack to the south of the warehouse building.
This letter serves as a request for a technical revision, TR-012,
to include the warehouse addition with our operating permit.
The existing outside uncovered parts storage area is directly
south of the warehouse building and consists of a 25'x70'
concrete slab of 4 inch thickness reinforced with wire mesh. The
parts storage addition is directly south of the existing slab and
is a 15'x70' concrete slab of 4 inch thickness reinforced with
wire mesh. Both the existing and new concrete slabs will be
covered with a 14' high metal roof and sided on the south and
east. The west end of the storage area will remain open. The
storage area shed will be of similar type construction, I-beam
frame and metal siding, to the warehouse. A plan view sketch of
the warehouse area is enclosed.
The reclamation cost for the additional concrete slab and open-
air building is based on estimated costs from the approved
reclamation plan. Building removal costs were estimated at
$0.13/f t'. The building will be 40'x70'x14' or 39,200 ft3. The
estimated building disposal cost is $5100. The removal costs of
a 4 inch floor were estimated at $1.69/ft'. The new concrete
slab will be 15'x70' or 1050 ft'. The estimated floor removal
cost is $1775. The addition is located within a disturbed area;
therefore, ripping, grading, and topsoil spreading costs have
been accounted for in the approved reclamation plan. The total
cost of reclamation for the warehouse addition, including a
contingency of 25~, is $8600. This represents less than 0.003%
of the existing $3.3 million reclamation bond.
P.O. BOX 310 SAN LUIS, COLORADO 81152-0310 (719) 672-3362 FAX (719) 672-3363
