~l
~ III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ~
Dear Mr. Oswald:
PUe~ CEF ~FF~CE
~~: M-~ jE Col'Y
~ ~o
A/Ll_o~
F°~~e h ' ~
Before meeting with you for the 31 Road Pit site inspection on April 30'", I
reviewed your letter of April I5'" containing the adequacy review of Parkerson's 31 Road
Pit permit amendment application. That letter outlines questions about the application,
which were discussed during the site inspection. This letter responds to those questions
and includes related matters discussed during the site inspection.
Application Form -Items 3.1 and 15 and Exhibit A -Leval Description.
A total of 52.43 acres are requested under the amendment application. I hereby
request that the .60 acre strip of paved road between C Road and the proposed amended
permit boundary be withdrawn from the application. Withdrawal of the .60 acre strip will
reduce the total acres in the application to 52.43 acres.
As I pointed out during our meeting ,the paved road was not expressly
constructed for hauling gravel products from the pit.
Exhibit C -Pre-mining and Mining Plan Mao.
The 30-foot wide buffer azea is within the Pazkerson's property boundary. The 3C
foot X 620 foot strip of land you described as situated in the southeast part of the
proposed amended azea is owned by A & G Partnership (Pazkerson). A revised Mining
Plan Map will be submitted to clarify details and identify areas of land where ownership is
in question. The revised map will better identify the permit boundary and proposed
amended permit boundary.

Mr. Bob Oswald
MAY 1 ~ 1998
Received
1'WY 1 1 1.998
81501 Du-2rlgp fi~e~
y~bnolMi~r~ ~eoloBY
May 8, 1998
Division of Minerals and Geology pivision of Minerals & Geolo9Y
Durango Field Office
484 Turner Drive, Building F-101
Durango, Colorado 81301
Re: 31 Road Pit, Permit No. M-87-178
Amendment Application AM-Ol
Response to Technical Adequacy Review
PARKERSON CONSTRUCTION, INC.
710 S. 15th Street
Grand Junction, Colorado
(970)242-8134
FAX (970) 242-8977
r?ECEIVF_D
