I <br />compared the soil profile from the area of interest to the 6hanta soil <br />descziption in the Fremont County Soil Survey. Shanta series is the soil <br />that was originally mapped in this location in the Fremont County soil <br />Survey. The information below is a summary of what I found. 'ihe Boil I <br />looked at is similar to the Shanta soil, except the dark surface colors <br />(and the organic matteXl are lacking. Also, the structure in the surface <br />horizon 1S massive, instead of granular and subangular blocky.
