The Division has received your responses (dated December 27, 1993)
to the NOV's referenced above and has the following comments:
NOV C-93-153: The referenced certifications were received by FAX,
but the original mailed copy with Mr. Weigand's PE certification
stamp has not yet been received.
NOV C-93-154: The response to this NOV was satisfactory.
Termination of the NOV may be completed following an inspection of
the area of concern.
NOV C-93-155: As mentioned in your letter, WFU has begun to
address the permitting of small area exemptions and alternate
sediment control measures. However, the lack of these permit
designs has now been identified in a notice of violation.
Consequently, WFU needs to address this matter within the abatement
time frames included in NOV C-93-155. The abatement deadline for
NOV C-93-155 is March 15, 1994, which is 90 days after the date of
issue of the NOV. Therefore, completion of the SAE demonstrations
as a part of the permit renewal process in July is not acceptable.
The Division will be happy to meet with WFU to discuss abatement of
this NOV, if requested.
NOV C-93-156: The Division approves the extension of the submittal
of the compaction testing schedule to January 18, 1994. Note,
however, that the modification notice for this NOV, which was
